I did most of my growing up in Northern California where I learned to get lost in the fog, enjoy 100 plus heat, and eat lots of fruits and nuts. I studied Religion at the University of California at Davis. During my time there, I enjoyed cycling through the Napa Valley, backpacking in the Sierras, drinking lots of milk and working with junior high students.
I met my wife Julie while studying Hebrew at Denver Seminary (I needed her help). We adopted a little Vietnamese boy in December of 1998 (Luke) and another in February 2001 (Paul). We moved to Loveland from New Jersey in April of 1999 to join the staff of LifeSpring. In the summer of 2003, I moved into the role of lead pastor. I feel blessed to be serving at a church with such a great vision for reaching out to our neighborhood, community and world.
Pastor of Student Ministries
I was born and raised in south-central Minnesota, the "land of 10,000 lakes," home of the '87 and '91 World Series Champions, and a billion mosquitoes. As the youngest of three boys, my life was anything but boring, and often included running around in the woods and as many sports activities as could fit into the day. After high school, I attended Covenant Bible College in Windsor, Colorado, was a youth intern at LifeSpring, and finished my B.A. in Communication Arts at North Park University in Chicago, Illinois.
My wife, Celeste, and I were married in 2010 and have enjoyed the journey together in my last couple years at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago. I really enjoy reading, running, skiing, meeting people, playing basketball, Frisbee, board games and guitar; watching football, singing, spending time with family and friends and occasionally eating Jell-O. Youth ministry is so cool and I feel so blessed to be a part of LifeSpring Covenant Church!
Pastor of Connections
I am both a Loveland and LifeSpring native—I was born on a Tuesday and brought to LifeSpring my very first Sunday. Many of my childhood and teenage memories happened within these walls. After graduating from high school, I attended Capernwray Bible School in England and then Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where I received my B.A. in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry. I recently finished my M.A. in Christian Formation and Soul Care from Denver Seminary.
After nearly 10 years of being away, I am thrilled to be back home at LifeSpring as the Pastor of Connections. I count it a privilege to help connect others to the thriving community that has been so foundational in my walk with the Lord. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, traveling, eating and being an aunt. I also have a heart for journeying with marginalized women, and currently serve as a Residential Counselor at Hope House of Colorado, a residential program for teenage mothers.
Pastor of Worship Arts
Growing up in Greeley Colorado, I spent a lot of my childhood in the mountains where I learned to love the outdoors. I have spent 15+ years doing worship ministry in Oregon, Michigan and Colorado. I married my wife, Jessica, in 2000 and have two girls, Audrey (13) and Ally (11). I really enjoy time in the wilderness, adding to my music collection, and going to concerts. I am passionate about planning and leading thoughtful worship gatherings that incorporate both modern and ancient expressions. I am grateful to be at LifeSpring where I can be part of a community that loves to worship and care for their neighborhood.
Pastor of Christian Formation
Having grown up in Loveland attending LifeSpring for many years, it is a joy to return here and serve at the church which played such an important role in shaping who I am today. My wife Melinda and I have two wonderful boys, Noah and Caleb. As a graduate of Colorado Christian University (BA: Theology) and Fuller Theological Seminary (MDiv), I have had meaningful experiences over the past 15 years serving in a variety of positions both in the church and nonprofit fields. I am grateful to be a part of a church in LifeSpring that engages in spiritual formation, thoughtful worship, and outreach to the community.
Children’s Ministry and Kids Hope USA Director
I spent most of my childhood in Oregon and Washington State, specifically on Orcas Island in the beautiful San Juans. I feel blessed to have been able to love on children in a variety of situations including: center and home childcare, church, and schools. I completed my BA in Elementary Education at Colorado Christian University. The past seven years have been spent in public education as well as volunteering with children in church.
We have been attending LifeSpring since 2008. We have been blessed over and over by the wonderful people we have met, and are excited to see where God is taking us. I love to read, crochet, and spend time outdoors. I am excited to be part of a wonderful team at LifeSpring, and feel grateful God has trusted me with His children.
Care Ministry and Local Outreach Ministry Director
Growing up in Minnesota (brrr!) and living three years in Arizona (hot!), I am happy to have called Colorado (the perfect blend of both!) home since 1993. God blessed me tremendously when he led me here; the perfect backdrop for the things I most enjoy: reading, hiking, and spending time with my wonderful husband, Keith, and our four beautiful, energetic children: Zachary, Riley, Avry and Brady.
I joined the staff at LifeSpring in 2007, when we started our Kids Hope USA partnership with Sarah Milner Elementary-the school right across the street. This is such a fun place to work, I expanded my role in 2011 to include coordination of our Care Ministries. With a BA in Special Education and Psychology, and a Masters in Social Work, my position is a comfortable fit. It truly is a blessing to go deeper with Jesus for the sake of our LifeSpring family, as well as the children and families in our neighborhood.
Director of Communications and Administration
I grew up in New Hampshire with my mom, dad, and two sisters. Snow days were fair game any time from October through April, one year racking up fourteen days home! I took an interest in music in fourth grade and was a major band geek by the time high school hit: piccolo in marching season and flute in concert season. In high school I also took an interest in French and ended up spending a year in France after high school, before college.
After my year abroad, I came back and attended North Park University in Chicago, where I met my now-husband Brad on the first day of freshman orientation. We married in summer 2012 after graduating, and we spent our first year of marriage exploring Chicago together. We moved here to Colorado in late 2013 and pretty quickly came to LifeSpring. It’s truly a God-thing to me, that I would end up finding a church family and a now a full time position I’m passionate about at the church my husband grew up in. I am so excited to be here, working with an amazing staff and supporting a church family that so deeply loves each other and our community.
I was born and raised on a farm in West Texas where snow is scarce and blowing dirt is abundant. I married my husband, Chip in 1987 and we have two grown children and a golden lab/retriever. Before we married, Chip asked if I would be willing to move to Colorado in the future, we moved here in 1993 and it was the best direction the Lord gave us. I enjoy hiking, gardening, camping and spending time with my family. The people at LifeSpring are friendly, caring and have the Lord’s desire in their hearts to do His work.
I was raised in a small town in Western Nebraska, Bayard. In a small school everyone participates in most activities: band, choir, sports and anything else to fill the day. I went to Chadron State College and graduated with a degree in business. I enjoy golf when I can, travel, and spending time at the beach with my wife.
While going to Chadron, I met my wife, Marilyn, but did not really get to know her until she and her two daughters moved to Bayard where she taught at the high school. We have been married since May 1977. We moved to Loveland in 1995 and have attended LifeSpring since moving here. I am thankful that I can serve the Lord and my church family in the capacity of Facilities Manager.
