Kids Hope USA builds caring relationships... one child, one hour,
one church, one school.

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not only welcome me, but the one who sent me.”

Mark 9:37

Kids Hope USA

It has been said that a child will not care to learn until he learns that someone cares about him.   With a classroom full of kids needing to learn, how do teachers show they care?  At Sarah Milner Elementary---the school right across the street from LifeSpring-- they make a Kids Hope referral.

Kids Hope USA is a nationally recognized mentoring program that partners churches with local elementary schools to help children feel loved and valued, so they are better able to learn and succeed.  Focusing on academics, creative play, and just having fun, one caring adult mentors one at-risk child for one hour every week.  The concept is simple...the results life-changing.

What makes KHUSA so unique, so successful, is that each mentor-child partnership is supported, behind-the-scenes, by a prayer partner.  This person is committed to praying, on a consistent basis, for that relationship.  Not only does the child get a new friend, they get a guardian angel, too.

The LifeSpring-Sarah Milner KHUSA partnership started  in January 2008 with  15 students and 33 trained volunteers.  By January 2009 we had increased to 24 students and 49 volunteers.  The need is great.  The referrals keep coming.
