When We Work Together We Can Accomplish Great Things!
Melted Together

"And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." Romans 5:5

Christians may be united by being frozen together or melted together. To be frozen together means that we are basing all of of our unity on fine points of doctrine or minor social conventions. To be melted together means that we are brought together by the love of Jesus Christ which comes from the Holy Spirit. This love is not just an idea or theory but is a real power which brings our thoughts and actions in line with the will of God. We are changed by the Spirit’s presence - not necessarily an all-at-once, knock-me-down kind of change, but a growth in love and kindness and awareness of Christ’s presence which increases over the course of our lives. The desire of Christ is that we pay attention to the Holy Spirit and lay aside all the distractions of this world which can deafen us to Christ’s call to us. When we listen, we are able to engage the world in a manner which is healing for us and for others.
