In 1 Corinthians 13:13, we read, “And now these three remain, faith, hope and love.”
We need all three to thrive.
The church excels in talking about faith and love, but somehow we’ve missed hope.
Discouragement is the dry desert in which life leads all of us. Hope is the water that gets us through to the other side. Discouragement drains our days, families and lives.
Hope fills us up with the promise that God has not given up on us.
Discouragement corners us into small thinking, meager living and fearful being.
Hope breaks us out into the grandeur of God’s possibilities. Ultimately, hope is what propels us forward each day into the good God has for us.
