Scott Slayback, Lead Pastor
I did most of my growing up in Northern California where I learned to get lost in the fog, enjoy 100 plus heat, and eat lots of fruits and nuts. I studied Religion at the University of California at Davis. During my time there, I enjoyed cycling through the Napa Valley, backpacking in the Sierras, drinking lots of milk and working with junior high students.

I met my wife Julie while studying Hebrew at Denver Seminary (I needed her help). We adopted a little Vietnamese boy in December of 1998 (Luke) and another in February 2001 (Paul). We moved to Loveland from New Jersey in April of 1999 to join the staff of LifeSpring. In the summer of 2003, I moved into the role of lead pastor. I feel blessed to be serving at a church with such an amazing group of talented and devoted people.

Jeff Berg, Youth Pastor
My wife and I moved here in the fall of 2000 from the Seattle area to serve as the Family Ministries Pastor here at LifeSpring. I was born a PK (programmer's kid) in Seattle and have studied at Denver, Regent, and North Park Seminaries. As of 2008, I have been a pastor for 12 years and doing "professional" ministry for 17 . When not serving the church, I enjoy reading, playing with my two boys, spending time with my wife, playing for my softball team, watching sports (Seattle Mariners and Washington Husky Football), and a good laugh (Seattle Mariners and Washington Husky Football.)

Tim Musslewhite, Pastor of Small Groups and Discipleship
I grew up in Texas, but am proud to call Colorado home for most of the past quarter century. I am a graduate of Baylor University and Dallas Theological Seminary. My wife Jill and I have two children, Tyler, a University of Colorado student, and Kelsey, a high school student. This is our second time around at LifeSpring, having served on staff here for six years in the early '80's. Golf, hiking, and reading are favorite leisure activities.

My responsibilities for small groups and discipleship allow us to combine the processes for growing the depth of community within the church and seeing Christ being formed in individuals. These two really do go together, since the Christian life was always meant to be lived in community with one another.

Gary Schmidt, Music and Worship Pastor
Hi! I was born and raised in Quebec, the French speaking part of Canada. I relocated here from Toronto in 1997 to become the pastor of worship and music. Though my primary music is training is in classical piano and church music, I enjoy all kinds of music and enjoy bringing many styles into our worship blend. We also have a great bunch of God-loving talented singers and musicians who are the ones who really make it happen. The Colorado lifestyle suits me just fine as I love to hike, rock climb and take advantage of the great skiing in the winter! It is a great privledge to serve the church and community in the area of praise and worship. It's a joy to serve the people at the Covenant church and to be a part of the community of Loveland!

Becky Amschwand, Early Childhood Coordinator
I am very excited to be leading the early childhood programs at LCC and to be working with the parents of the many preschoolers of our church. Instilling a love for the Lord Jesus in the hearts of these children and helping them to have a positive church experience are my primary goals. I have a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development. In addition, I've taught first and second grade for eight years. I grew up in Loveland and have two preschoolers of my own.

Melanie Kolb, Director of Children's Ministries
I grew up on a ranch in Western South Dakota. I attended Oklahoma Baptist Univerisity where I earned a BA in family Pyschology. My husband Randy and I enjoy living in beautiful Loveland and bringing up our three kids. I am blessed to work with the children of LifeSpring and their families. We have so many wonderful volunteers who love to love your children. Together, we aim to nurture a personal relationship with Jesus in the heart of each child we encounter.

Cassie Mattson, Bookkeeper/Secretary
I was born and raised in Texas. I have been married since 1993 to my wonderful husband, Don. Together we have 6 children, 3 grandchildren and a couple of pets to keep us busy. I love when we can all get together. We have so much fun. God has blessed me indeed!

I have been with LCC since 1998. God has blessed me with a great job and wonderful supportive people to work with. They are like my second family! I enjoy getting to know everyone who comes through our doors. God is good all the time!           Send an email to Cassie    

Linda Miller, Office Manager
I was born and raised in Iowa and loved living on a farm. I have been married for 37 years to my husband, Earl. I am grateful to live in the beautiful state of Colorado. We have 2 grown children and one adorable granddaughter.

I have been part of the LCC staff for 15 years. My favorite aspect of my work is serving people. I am excited about what God is doing in our midst at LCC.           Send an email to Linda
